EV Folder Properties Tab not showing

When I look at the properties of a folder, the tab for EV is not showing. In my mailbox archiving policy, under Advanced, I have "Folder Properties Visable" set to "Show Tab." I've syncronized, as well.

Is there some overriding setting that I can't see?

Tim, next most likely is that you are using the lite client. Check that.

Alternatively check that the client is loaded by Outlook. Go to Oulook Help / About and click on Disabled Addons, see if valkilry.dll is listed there.

Thanks, Lee.

I originally had the Lite client installed, but I tried to install the regular client. Is there an easy way to tell which is installed? Where are the two usually stored on the server?

When the users archive an item, are they given a prompt to choose which archive to send to? If not then that's the light client.

Basically there are two version of lite client, both are named EVDesktop.xyz. The extension is either .cab or .msi.

The full client is EVClient.msi. Check in Add/Remove programs to see which you have. But probably a full uninstall and reinstall of EVClient would be in order to make sure.

This turned out that the "Self-install functions" of the Desktop selection of Advanced on the policy was set to "On". Once I set to "Off" it showed up.

Good deal Tim! Glad it's resolved.
