EV reporting on SQL cluster

Hello,

I am into migration of EV related SQL DBs from SQL 2005 SP2 to SQL 2008 R2. The new SQL setup is placed into a windows cluster with 2 node.

In the current setup i have EV reporting running on SQL server and as part of this migration I will be migrating the reporting as well to new SQL cluster.

Here I am confused that where i should install EV reporting? If i am right SQL reporting tool is not cluster aware and its been installed on both nodes. Should I install the EV reporting on both nodes? If i install on both nodes should I configure it on both nodes?

Please suggest. Thanks in advance!

it depends if you want the reports to be accessible at all times
you could just install the reporting services on the EV Server itself, its  not resource intensive and doesnt add much of any overhead to the server itself

In my case, I chose to install Sql Reporting service just in one node because it quick to re-install in case of failure it server resource that one of the server have available for other tasks. Don´t forget to backup the encrypt key(credentials).
