EV vault site

Dear's,

I am new to EV and need to understand the relation between EV vault site name and the EV external URL name.

I am configuring EV and is confused that wheteher in the configuration steps EV site name shoudl be same as EV URL name.

What is it exactly you are trying to do?  The External URL is used for OWA, are you trying to configure OWA access?

We would need to know what version of EV, Exchange, and what exactly you are trying to do.

Hi,

EV Site name is used like alias to EV Server Name. Hence in future if you change the EV Server / Rename the EV server it will not affect the shortcut. You need to only make entry in the DNS which pointing to EV site name.

■ "External URL" is a URL that is used outside the corporate network to access the Enterprise Vault server through a firewall.
■ "Internal URL" is a URL that is used inside the corporate network to access the Enterprise Vault server directly.
