EV10 Fresh Install, how do I force WOW64

ChrisFocalize
Not applicable

EV 10 is supported on Windows Server 2008 x64 edition R2 and R2 SP1 (using WOW64).

It is listed in the Compatibility document on page 12.

The Matrix is very confusing

Windows Server 2008 x64 edition All versions not supported

Windows Server 2008 x64 edition (using WOW64) , R2, R2 SP1 is supported as long as it's not a domain Controller

First, I'm not sure how x64 using WOW64 isn't part of the All Versions line???

Secondly, how do you Force or install WOW64 if WoW64 is part of Windows 2008 x64, or at least that's how it seems from my feabile Google searches??

Thanks in advance for your time in responding.  ---- Chris

i agree that the documentation in this regard is confusing. there's nothing special you need to do. just install as you would otherwise.

EV main application is and can only use WOW64 on a 64 bit machine i.e. Windows 2008 R2, so you don't have to do anything. The part that uses true 64 bit is the Indexing Services for EV10. Like Andy said you don't have to do anything and just install as per normal.

And yes the Compatibility chart is always confusing no matter which angle you look at it :)
