EV6 DNS Server and Site Alias

I am in the process of moving a customer's EV6 install to new hardware in preparation for an upgrade to 7.0 and then to 7.5. Their DNS entries are host records as opposed to the alias (CNAME) records. In doing an initial lab build I noticed that EV6 SP4 would allow me to enter the site alias being a host record. As soon as I deleted it and changed it to be a CNAME records I could install EV6 Sp4. My question is when I do this in production using the building blocks method to move them to new hardware is there any impact of deleting the DNS host record entry and re-creating it as a CNAME alias record?

There will be no impact.

EV will just fire a DNS Request for xxx.domain.com and get back an IP Address, EV doesn't care if this IP comes from a CNAME or an A entry.
