Hi

i made a testing envirnoment as follows:

email server: NT4 SP6a with exchange 5.5sp4
EV server: windows 2003 sp1, ev6sp2
client: install the outlook extension

Problem

The user mailbox have hundreds item of email dated from JUNE, 2005 to June, 2006, i can archive email manually without problem
But those old email (i.e. older than 3 months) cannot archive automatically..
Here is my archiving rulessetting in my default mailbox policy:

1)Never archive items younger than 3 months
2) large items option is unchecked
3) Strategy: all items older than three months are archived

Do i have anything missed?

Thx

Chan

Perhaps it is a message class issue?

You could also use dtrace on the archivetask and then do a report mode run.
In the trace you'll see a function called iseligible

this is called for each item and determines whether to archive it or not. So find a message from mailbox that you think should get archived and then search the dtrace output for the message subject to see what it says (or perhaps if it doesn't mention the message at all)

What happens when you run a report against that user? Does it show items ready to archive?
