Enterprise Vault for Exchange10 - Old EV Outlook snap-in Clients

We will be upgrading to Enterprise Vault for Exchange 10 but will not be able to upgrade all of our EV Outlook snap-in clients on time. We still have some EV 2007 and EV8 Outlook snap-in clients and want to know if anyone has any experience or knowledge of what happens to these clients after the upgrade to Server EV10? Do they just stop working or do they work with limited functionality? Any gotchas?

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

RB

Prior to EV 10 you can only use 1 step EV client...i.e. if you are using EV9 then you can only use EV8 client (supported)....with EV10 you can still use EV8 and EV 9 clients as they are now supported....2 ev client versions....EV 2007 client would still work EV 10 server but will be limited such as new features in EV client 9/10 can provide (good example is Outlook 2010), it'll just mean if you have problems it will not be supported by SYMC.

Hope that helps.

It is very likely to work -- but it's not supported.

Thanks for the responses. Are there any customers out there who are using EV10 server with older EV clients (EV 2007 and EV8 Outlook snap-in clients)? If so, what, if any, issues have you run into?

Thanks again. All your comments are greatly appreciated.
