Excessive transaction log growth after upgradeing to SP3

Has anyone else seen excessive transaction log growth in their directory database after upgradeing to EV8 SP3?

Yes, but only after upgrading from 7.5 to v8.0.  I believe this has something to do with the new Transaction History feature in v8.0.  Anyone else seen this?
