FSA - Share or NTFS Permissions

Hi All,

Does anyone know which permissions; NTFS or Share, are assigned to a newly archived folder? If Share permissions are used does anyone know if it is possible to use NTFS permissions in version 8 or a later service pack of EV 7.5 SP3?

I believe it is the NTFS permissions

You can use either. Default is share permissions. Use this reg key to change:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\
DWORD value - SynchroniseFSASharePermissions

0 is NTFS permissions, 1 (default) is share permissions.

Needs to be set on the EV server.
