FSA agent install issue

Rinat
Not applicable

Hi to everybody.

I would very appreciate if someone answer the following question to me. It's written in admin guide that

Note:

Do not install the FSA Agent on Enterprise Vault servers.

I wonder is it not necessary when EV is already installed or it’s unsupported configuration and won’t work.

The aim is archive Windows File server.

Thanks again.

You install the agent on your target file servers.

Your target file server will be the one hosting users files, and data.

It won't be your EV server.

So, my advice, don't do it.. it's not necessary, and can lead to all sorts of problems.

Note:

Do not install the FSA Agent on Enterprise Vault servers, NetApp filers, or EMC Celerra/VNX devices."
