How to search in outlook partcular string in message body and attachment

Hi  team,

We  have configured Exchange Mailbox archiving . If i want search particular string in message body and in attachments present in mailbox from outlook.

How it is possible ????

Kindly help on the same.

You would have to enable Vault Cache and Outlook Instant search and have it search the All Mail Items, or you can use WDS and Vault Cache.

You could also use X1

Or you would have to use
http://yourEVServer/EnterpriseVault/Search.asp

But that will only search archived items, and won't search your online mail items.

If you were looking from a discovery point of view (i.e search all mailboxes for particular email) then you would use Discovery Accelerator, but again that will only search archived items, but you could also leverage EV Discovery Collector as well

But everything other than Vault Cache and Instant Search....and Search.asp are ones that you can use without additional licenses or costs, but X1 and DA and EVDC require extra licensing

Can we enable Full index,  in order to search string in mailbox body and in attachments from client side.

If  yes what could be advantages and disadvantages.

What version of EV are you? 

The Full Index level will not help if you are doing your search from in Outlook.  You will need to use one of the options JW2 suggested.

How exactly would you be doing the search?
