Indexing drive has been crashed

hi all,

 

indexing drive of enterpriise vault server has been crashed and all indexing location have been delete so now what i have to do?

Hi,

Fix disk. Restore indexes from a known good backup, in EV console, repair/update indexes. EV will update indexes. If no backup, I hope you have not been archiving long. EV can rebuild indexes, but for large archives takes a while.

we dont have backups for indexes and can not fix the disk i have installed new disk in EV server know how can rebuild the index. in the EV Guide i found that i have rebuild it one by one which is not possible because hunder of users are using ev so what i have to do to rebuild whole of my index?

Just select all archives and select rebuild. (In EV 10 you can select multiple archives, you don't mention your version) It will take some time...

sorry! we are using Enterprise Vault 9.0.1 with windows 2008 Enterprise and exchange version is 2010 so please tell me the way how can i rebuild indexing because i am not able to select all the archives at once.

Make a CSV of all your archives and use the command indexcheck. See:

There is none, you will have to create it yourself.

how can use indexcheck command can you tell me the dummy syntex??

i was typing like "indexcheck -f v:\indexing -c exit -csv index.csv" but not working

it should be -c exist, not exit

IndexCheck -rebuild "<pathname>\<CSV filename>"

 

In the CSV file, type your archives and comma separate them.
