Hi,
Fix disk. Restore indexes from a known good backup, in EV console, repair/update indexes. EV will update indexes. If no backup, I hope you have not been archiving long. EV can rebuild indexes, but for large archives takes a while.

Just select all archives and select rebuild. (In EV 10 you can select multiple archives, you don't mention your version) It will take some time...

Make a CSV of all your archives and use the command indexcheck. See:

how can use indexcheck command can you tell me the dummy syntex??
i was typing like "indexcheck -f v:\indexing -c exit -csv index.csv" but not working
05-24-2012 07:32 AM
it should be -c exist, not exit
05-24-2012 07:36 AM
IndexCheck -rebuild "<pathname>\<CSV filename>"
In the CSV file, type your archives and comma separate them.
