Inquiry regarding Retention Category

We have Enterprise Vault 10.0.4. I want to change the retention category for the items that are archived by the Journal from 10 to 5 years.

So Storage Expiry process will work for the newly archived items for 5 years. But we want to learn is there any way to delete old items which are archived with the 10 Years retention Category?

So you can just change the retention period from 10 years to 5 years and items older than 5 years will begin to be expired.  You might want to step it down from 10 to 9 and see how big of a performance a hit your server takes.  Then step it down further.
