Install EV Powershell snapin on another machine without EV Server

Hi, I managed to install EV Powershell snapin on another server which don't have EV server installed. However the command I run had this issue:

For example this command: get-indexlocationbackupmode evserver1

Error:get-indexlocationbackupde: Could not contact Enterprise Vault server 'evserver1'. Check that this server is available and try again...... Failed to read indexing service info.

When I run the command locally on evserver1, I don't have any issue.

I just want to know what's the requirement for EV powershell snapin to run? what's the communication channel.

thanks guys, found the solution, however having issue when the EV is configured as cluster.
