Is it possible to export archive from one EV server to another

Hi

We have 3 regional EV 7.5 servers  in the US, UK and NZ , as people transfer between the regions we need to be able to move their archives along with their mailfiles to their new "region" ?  Each regional EV server has different target servers and different sites.  When i tried the export/import process it does not allow me to select another regional EV vault store, is there anyway I can do this?

Thanks

Julie,
  1. Export
  2. Disable User
  3. Delete Shortcuts
  4. Delete Hidden Message (EVPM & ZAP *see note 2)
  5. Re Import in the new site (VAC or EVPM *see note 2)
  6. Re Enable

Or you can look at a third party tool to automate this all for you ;)

NOTE 1: EVPM script to ZAP Mailbox

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName = EVServer
SiteName = EVSite

[Mailbox]
DistinguishedName = /o=O/ou=OU/cn=Exporting_User

[Folder]
Name = Mailboxroot
Zap = True

NOTE 2: EVPM Script to Import PST.

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName = EVServer
SiteName = EVSite

[PSTdefaults]
MigrationMode = Process
STLanguage = Western European
ConcurrentMigrations = 5
IncludeDeletedItems = True
ShortcutMode = Shortcuts

[PST]
FileName=D:\export-user.pst
ArchiveName=export-user
RetentionCategory=business

The only way currently is to use one of the export methods and then re-import into the new archive on the other system. There should be a new feature in EV8 SP3 which will do exactly what you want and is called move archive. This is due for release beginning of November.

Hi Paul

Yeh Ive been trying to do the old import/export, but when I try to re-enable the archive after I have exported it (as per instructions) it only shows me the EV Vault stores for that computer, I want to be able to select a server and vault in a different region. Is this possible?

Thanks

 Sorry just want to get some terminology correct here as you state that you want to re-enable the archive which is confusing me. What I understand you are tryinhg to achieve is that you want to take all of the mails out of an archive then create another one on a different vault site and import them into there.
So if that is the case then what do you mean be re-enable the archive?

Sorry paul if I am confusing you

I do want to export an archive from one server and import onto another that is correct.  When I talk about re-enabling I am refereing to the instructions on how to export/import an archive....export to pst, disable the user , enable the user, then run pst import .  Its the re-enable the user portion where I only get the vault options for the server the user is already on

Hope that makes sense
