Items stuck in the R2 queue

PoorAdmin

We have migrated our Exchange system from 2007 to 2013. I forgot to remove the MSMQ's for the 2007 environment. I have noticed reccently that there are a few items shown up in the old R2 queue. Can I safely delete these before removing the queues.

should be fine because the R2 is for restoring messages. if items are stuck in that queue you can clear them. somewhere there might be an item pending restore in some user's mailbox. you can cancel pending and restore it again.
