Missing EV Buttons in OWA 2007 and attachment show as @65B

Hi,

Did anyone encounter this before with "no EV buttons in OWA2007 and attachment showing as @65B"?

The following setup are configured in the environment.

1a) Exchange Server 2007 SP1 installed.

  b) 4 mailbox servers. (Mailbox are being clustered).

  c) 2 CAS servers with NLB.

2a) Enterprise Vault 2007 SP5 installed.

  b) Enterprise Vault Outlook Client Add-On installed and tested
working fine on a test user's desktop with Outlook 2003. (Perform store/restore mail using outlook 2003 buttons).

  c) OWA2007 extension x64 installed on both CAS servers.

  d) Ran owauser.swf in EV server with a created basic domain user account.
script ran successfully, restart ev vault admin service and also re-syn
      all mailbox in EV.

OWA2007 does not show any EV buttons and when i open an archive mail with attachment in OWA using IE. (Archive of the mail was performed in Outlook 2003 client).

It display archive mail with no attachment and show the following error.

"The archived item is currently unavailable. If you choose reply or forward,
only the contect shown below will be included.
Click here to preview the original item."

When i double click this message, it show an error "HTTP 403 Forbidden".

I had this solved by adding some keys into both CAS server "web.config", and archive mail display without the forbidden error in OWA.

But it show the "@65B" as attachment.

I did a search on symantec ev forum but it was addressing to Exchange Server 2003

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Best Regards,
nichng.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the information.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work as what you have mentioned and OWA still doesn't have any OWA EV buttons and attachment is still the same "@65B".

Can you enable OWA logging then post back here with it - put this in your web.config on the Exchange server  <add key="EnterpriseVault_LogEnabled" value="true"/>

Or you may want to work through this technote to help you - support.veritas.com/docs/321015
