No prompt when deleting items from delegate mailbox?

Hello,

Many of our users have Full-Access/Send-As rights on other mailboxes. The mailboxes are added to their Folder List in Outlook (right-click root folder - Properties - Advanced - Advanced - Add mailbox - OK).

When they select an archived item in their own mailbox and press delete, they get prompted to deleted the shortcut/archived item/both. But when they do the same on an archived item in the delegate mailbox, there is no prompt at all. The shortcut is just silently moved to the Deleted Items folder, as with unarchived messages.

It used to prompt in Outlook 2003. Is this a known issue in Outlook 2010?

If they then delete the shortcut from the Deleted Items folder of the delegate mailbox, they only get the standard "do you want to permanently delete this item" prompt. The good news is that it appears to only delete the shortcut anyway. I think it's the same if they right-click on Deleted Items and choose Empty.

Outlook 2010 on Win7, 9.0.9377 EV plug-in, EV904 server.

Thanks,

- Alan.

Which version(s) of the Outlook Add-in are involved in your testing?

For Outlook 2010: HTTP-only, 9.0.9377.

For Outlook 2003 which does prompt: 8.0.9905 (but strangely the previous version 7.5.23115 is also showing as installed).

Anyway we've migrated everyone to Outlook 2010 now.

Tried both using same user and mailbox. 2003 prompts, 2010 doesn't ...

Thx.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this issue?
