Offline Vault

Hi All,

a bit of a security question here.

We have had a laptop stolen and there is potentially security risk with the contents of the users vault.

can the offline vault messages be opened in any way by browsing to the location that they are stored in??

i.e. not using the users outlook but actually the .db files that the offline vault generates?

   Yes there is a risk.  The db contents are unencrypted, and can be opened directly from outlook with a simple extension change (if the guy knows what he's doing and what to do when he finds the db's).  Not saying it's probable, as there's a great deal of security through obscurity there...but it's still a risk.
