Permissions for a child domain

Hi all,

we are running EV 9.0.3 and we have several child domains.

I'm trying to allow Read permissions for a user in a child domain for an EV Exchange mailbox. I can see the child domain in the dropbox menu and the "Working" message for a few seconds... then nothing is displayed.

Connectivity is okay between our domain and the child domain.

What can we do?

Thanks for your help!

What happens if you type in the name manually? I seem to remember this is an age old problem where it uses the old NT4 style AD lookups where it doesn't display names but manually typing the name works fine I also seem to remember there was a file (possibly lmhosts) where you specify the name of the domain and then it works, will see if I can find the syntax for it

A lmhosts file didn't help (even after a reboot), but I could add the account manually using the CHILDOMAIN\user syntax. The "Add Windows Users" button just hangs during the AD lookup.

Anyway, thank you for your little tip  ;)

I'll see if I can find the Proper syntax because I remember the issue being that the lmhosts is really strict about the number of spaces and the format, as opposed to the regular hosts file that doesn't care
