All,

I'm currently running EV9.1 on a Windows 2003 Standard SP2 enviroment with Exchange 2003.  In preperation for our forthcoming Exchange 2010 upgrade I installed Outlook 2007 SP2 (12.0.6425.1000) with the required patches this morning since then I get the error below when trying to open archived mail

An Internal error occured on the web server. Error -2147221221 when trying to acess archived item from the vault.

I also get a warning in the event log 6287

nable to fetch item from "sv-lon-kvs-001.hitplc.net".

Reason: <0x8004011b>

Has anyone come across this or have any ideas?

More likely than not its because you need RecipientMax registry key set
If you have the Outlook 2007 performance hotfix installed, you may need to uninstall that, install the Outlook 2007 hotfix, set the RecipientMax key, ensure that it works, then install the performance hotfix again

Apply hotfix 951995. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951995/ )

Add the AttachmentMax registry entry and the RecipientMax registry entry. To do this, follow these steps.

Note The default value for the AttachmentMax registry entry is 2048 attachments.
The default value for the RecipientMax registry entry is 2048 recipients. If you set these registry entries to larger values,
it can cause long delays when you try to open .msg files that have lots of recipients or attachments. This is expected and is
the reason the original limit was established.

1. Exit Outlook 2007.
2. Start Registry Editor.
3. If you do not use policies, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Mail

If you use policies, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Mail

4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
5. Type AttachmentMax, and then press ENTER.
6. Right-click AttachmentMax, and then click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type a value, and then click OK.
8. Repeat steps c through g to add the RecipientMax registry entry.
9. Exit Registry Editor.
