Provisioning Group Feature

DDI

Anybody else think this feature is a good idea - or has anyone already figured out an easy way to do something similar:

In a provisioning group property, be able to specify an EVPM.ini to be run against the mailboxes at the time they are enabled by this provisioning group.

Otherwise, we are looking at creating/maintaining a seperate process, outside of EV, to create/run evpm against the mailboxes enabled by a certain provisioning group.

Thanks,

OK, that's one of the things you really can't do.
As a workaround you may could script those things using EVPM and an LDAPquery attribute to target a specified group or OU and schedule the script to run daily.

I'd appreciate if the EV guys would include that in GUI :)

Dan

Could you describe what exactly you want to do?
You can specify a different Mailbox Policy per Provisioning Group, so most things you achieve with EVPM are already  possible using different Exchange Policies.... (like archiving rules, shortcut content, message classes, etc. etc.)

Looking to do some of the things you can only do in EVPM, like create subfolders with different retention categories and archiving ages, for example.
