SQL errors upgrade from 8.0.5 to 9.0.3

Hi All

 

Tried to upgrade from 8.0.5 to 9.0.3 and I get the following errors,

OPened a support case and it turned out that the problem was that the PTN in the extendersettings was missing infomation.

So after some SQL scripts we sorted out the issue. Would post the scripts but in the maddness of getting the server running I did not save the scripts.

I suspect differing values between the dbo.partitioncache table of the vault store database in the column IdPartition when compared to IdPartition from dbo.partitionentry table in the EnterpriseVault  Directory Database .

If that's not it then I suggest you run a dtrace of StorageManagement, Directory Service and StorageService and also an SQL profiler trace whilst running the upgrade as this will help support in locating the issue with the partitioncache table - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH48699
