Search Query Syntax

Hi,

Does anyone know the correct syntax for searching for IP addresses in vaulted e-mails.

I.e. Message contains 10.0.0.1

We always get zero results - tried escaping the "." wth no luck.

Closest I was able to get was using:

192 168 0 1

as the search (No quotes, just spaces).  The "." as you know is the Alta Vista character use for phrase searching.  Good.Times would search for the phrase "good times" for example.

What are you using to search the archive? Is it EV search.asp or is it something like DA

Using integrated Outlook search & browser search.

As far as i know entering them as a phrase should work

Or try entering them as a line of numbers 10.10.10.10 becomes 10101010

Strangely the search works for subject, but not for message body (i.e. explicit 10.0.0.0)

Removing the periods doesn't work.

I'll open a call if I can't figure it out tomorrow.
