Search on file extensions AND other criteria

Hi all,

Have a customer that want to be able to search on file extensions and e.g. author.

But it seems that it will not work unless you use Item Granularity Schema.

I have tested it and it's still the same behaviour as the technote.

Will this change in the near future, e.g. that you can match an author and the pdf's that that author has sent without IGS ?

Not sure what EV 10 will bring, but Item Level Granularity is the default for Journal Indices now (and has been since around EV 2007 SP 2, and EV 7 SP 4)

Particular problem with using Item Level Granularity ?

Nope, don't have a problem with it personally :)

I just know that will be the follow up question from the customer.

I guess the main concern most of the time is user training.

Since they will see a "different" search result, it can generate some/lots of calls.
