Hi All,
A number of users in the company has started a seprate business, but they are still in the same domain and exchange. The request is to move them into a new seprate data store to keeps thing tidy and stop email archiving through EV for them.
However before stoping the archiving, what is the best solution to restore all the emails back to inbox or restore as a seprate data files??
Please advise any best time solution for this request.
Many Thanks
Sohail

Hi,
Depending on EV Version:
place users in seperate provisioning group. untick 'archive mailboxes in this provisioning group'
create desktop policy to only show archive explorer and search, assign this desktop policy to PG. also create archiving policy to archive items older than 99999 years.
Exporting Archives into PST:
rightclick archives, export, export to pst. You could set a value in the State field of the users AD account (if you don't use that), so you can find and export all of them in 1 go.
also disable users as Rahul said

If you restore all the emails , it might affect the exchange mailbox quota . Better would be import the archvies to a PST file .
You can disable the users from the Vault admin console so no new items get archive but they can still access the archive.
