Unable to open archived mails from OWA

Please help.  This problem occurred after I installed Exchange 2007 SP3.

Our environment is a mixed Exchange 2007/2003, with EV 8.0 SP2.  CAS, Mailbox and Hub Transport are running on separate servers. It used to work nicely.  Only after I installed Exchange 2007 SP3  on the CAS server that the issue started.  Mailbox servers are still in Exchange 2007 SP1.  There is no error message when you open an archived item, but the full message will not display in full.  I checked the logfile and found this:

[WebDAVRequest::Send] Exception sending WebDAV request: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
   at Symantec.EnterpriseVault.Owa.ExchangeStoreAccess.WebDAVRequest.Send()

[EVContext::LoadHiddenSettings] Exception loading hidden settings:

[EVContext::LoadHiddenSettings]     System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi

An update of the CAS Service Pack sometimes overwrites the web.config file. Did you have any custom changes and stuff in it?

You may just want to re-install the OWA extensions, which should take care of adding the (proper) EV stuff to web.config again...

I have modified web.config and smallicons.xml manually and added the entries that were supposed to in it but the problem still persist.  I can try to re-install the extension and see if that helps.  BTW, I am also getting that error when you right-click any email in the browser.  Do you reckon installing EV8.0 SP5 can resolve this?

the error with the right clicking sounds like you have the 2007 roll up hotfix installed
