Another interesting thing happened today, when I was upgrading my Outlook Add-in to 8.0.5, during installation it was getting stuck when trying to start the WSearch service. This is the Windows Search service which indexes your machine for faster searches.
Now by default I didnt have this installed, and honestly I think most of the environments machines dont have this installed.
Is there any way that the Add-in will install if the WSearch service is not present ?
BTW, I did download it and install it, the install worked right away. But I want to know if there is a work around, or its a dependency in this version.
EV 7.5 sp4 Add-in didnt have this requirement. Thanks in advance.

What version of Windows (including service pack, and "bitness") is this on? Was it just one machine, or lots?

Please also note that I tried this on Outlook 2007 SP 2, that was previously running EV 8 SP 4 client, on Windows XP SP 2.
I didn't encounter any issues.
