Vault Deletion

When I mark a users Vault for delete and it come up marked for deletion in the Admin console, when does it actually get deleted ?

The process starts immediately and runs in the background.  It can take some time if you are dealing with large archives.

any way to programatically mark a user's  vault for deletion ? Found an article that suggests it's a simple mark in the right field - but what field, in what table ? :)

When right-clicking on an Archive and choosing Delete (Figure 1), the Archive is changed to "Marked ... 

We're on V7.5, by the way...

Did a test on an account and noticed that ArchiveStatus which is in EnterpriseVaultDirectory.Archive is switched from 1 (a normal account) to 4 (presume this is marked for deletion). This information led me to the following article.

Should work, I think, yes. It's probably your only option, as there is no API, I think ;) Cheers Michel

Set a test record in our test system last night to value 4 - immediately the GUI showed "Marked for deletion". Came in this morning and it was gone. Will call this a success I think !

EV is a pretty flexible system, if you exactly know what you are doing ;) Anyway, I would validate this with Support, because doing it in the database is probably not considered "supported". Just to be on the safe side! /Michel
