What is the max number of Partitions per Vault Storage?

Hello,

We have 1TB partitions (34 in total), our backup solutions takes more then 8 hour to backup an open partitions when it's almost full. So we are thinking creating smaller partitions, 500GB.

What is the max number of Partitions we can create per Vault Storage?

Hello Tonaco,

If I recall correct, the limit is 256, but that might have changed in releases later than 12.5 

If you use Storage Expiry, you might use 'rolling' partitions. Example. You have 25 partitions, P25 is open. Expiry is running. P1 should be empty. Set P1 to open, which closes 25, then continue to use P2, P3 etc.

Also, it might be an option to create a new Vault Store, and use partitions in there.
