Hi,

Since a week there are users who have problems with the archive explorer.
When they start the archive explorer they get a page with "XML page cannot be displayed" Anyone a clue?

This is a recently known issue with the Microsoft update KB924191.

As a workaround, please modify the Mailbox policy you are using. Advanced -> Desktop -> Launch Archive Explorer -> choose Separate Browser.

After you have made this change you will need to manually sync the mailboxes.

Bob,

I did made the changes but he starts now the AE in a IE page. But when he starts a IE page he shutdown the IE you have open. So he overwrites the existing IE, is there a another solution for.

At the moment, there is no fix for this..

Uninstalling the MS Patch, would fix it....Message was edited by:

Hi,

We had similiar issues after the patch was installed on the EV servers. The workaround with the Policy works fine. We did not have to uninstall the Patch.

Thanks,

Anu

As AE is launching a new IE window instead of running inside Outlook, you can create a New IE Window to carry on using IE for ordinary browsing. If you are looking for an item using AE I would have thought you would use the search and then close it.

Symantec Engineering are looking at resolving this issue, but the workaround does work fine.
