can't delete retention category in EV

Hi

Environment is 9.0.2

I created a test rentention category. When I right-click, only 2 options, Properties and Help.

If this because I am not using the VAC (our VAC is locked down for security reasons and does not have logon locally rights to the EV servers) or because this is behaviour by design?

absolutey by design because it could severely impact you from a legal standpoint
just set it to hidden and locked and then users won't see it when they're archiving items, it will only be admins who see it, and simply put in a note that you were testing
