why Enterprise Vault 10 took so long to register files?

I'm working on Enterprise Vault 10, the intallation took around 1 hour to finish. It stuck at register files when reboot for around half hour.

Even I only install EV reporting on my SQL server, it also took around half hour to register files.

If I want to reinstall the EV, it took another half hour to unregister files.

Is there something wrong with EV program? I tried on a few machines all had the same issue.

Thank you.

Thanks Nathan, I checked the installation log, it really took half to finish all the dll register.

I will try the tech doc and see whether can imporve the speed or not.

Why not make it default since normally all the servers don't have Internet access?

well if you look at it, these are modifications to Windows components (mmc, IIS and NET Framework)
The slow configuration is RegASM which is NET Framework, and so this is technically an MS issue, and symantec should not be making changes to companies Windows configurations to get past this issue
