Is there anyway to do a factory reset on an appliance upgraded to 2.6.0.1?

I see from the page below that its not.

No,

  • 2.6 factory resets use an LVM checkpoint method, this factory reset checkpoint is created on fresh install
  • upgraded appliances does not create a factory checkpoint.  Instead they create a checkpoint for the just upgraded point

So you would want to do a reimage without preserving data
