Appliance 5230, v2.6.0.3, master/media, already fully configured.

My question:  is it safe to follow this procedure:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ipmi-does-not-work

...on an already fully configured master/media appliance (running v2.6.0.3)?

Thanks.

Hi SDO,

Yes, its fine. It only affect the IPMI functions. Its basically another computer by itself. You can reset it without affecting the appliance (of course you'll lose connection to IPMI console).
