PureDisk Export to NetBackup Tape

Hi,

Is PureDisk able to export database and application backup (e.g. MS SQL , MS Exchange) to NetBackup Tape? Thank you.

Page 28 of the Veritas NetBackup PureDisk™ Administrator’s Guide says this

The PureDisk NetBackup export engine lets you export backed-up PureDisk Files and Folders data selections to NetBackup. The NetBackup export engine does not export other PureDisk data selection types.

So Abesama is right, in the fact, if you use Puredisk with agents (without using netbackup), currently, you can only export files and folders.

However, if you use puredisk as the Netbackup Puredisk PDDO option (where it sits behind a media), you can export your backups just like you normally would.

I expect that with the release of 7.0, for this issue to be fully addressed.

Thank you Abe, that is considered a limitation for the current de-duplication software.
