Is your catalog backup configured to use the Full Monthly tape pool? Usually it should use the CatalogBackup pool

reboot of master server may help

Has thi suddenly happened or has it been going on for a while?

Has anything changed recently that could contribute to it?

This suggests that something has not been updating correctly and may result in other issues.

As Ian suggests a reboot may help but just to try it more gently first try a netbackup stop

Once you have done that check using bpps -a as i suspect you may have bpdbm processes hanging

Repeat netbackup stop until it clears all process down

It they will not clear then a kill against the outstanding process or a re-boot may be the only other option

I do like a regular clean NetBackup shutdown and reboot to keep the systems clean - once a week if your backup windows permit

Please post all bpdbm entries for PID [22392] as well as text in Details tab for failed Catalog Backup streams.

(96) unable to allocate new media for backup, storage unit has none availbale

In the log bpdbm when i launch the backup of the catalog, i have :

That looks to be a different error - now it says you have no media available to do the backup - have you got free tapes available?

mouna

yes, at the moment i'm having 11 free tapes in the robotic,

Status 96 seems to be the actual issue. Check CatalogBackup pool or Scratch pool (if you have one) for available media in the robot.

You have right, the volume pool is catalogBackup et not full_mensuel, ans i haven't free tape in this volume pool.

Thank you very much for your help.

Bye.
