Hi All,
Iam unable to resolve 800 error, once i resolved again job is failing with 800 within 5minits of time, please any one give how can iresolve permanently.
Please give me step by step procedure to resolve 800 error, means first wat can i check were can i check which commands is used.

The status code 800 is quite general. Check on the link I gave you.
Set de debugg on 5 and check the logs.

NetBackup versions, operating systems, job details, type of job that's failing etc etc.

Let us know NBU infrastructure details & connectivity with tape library
Normally error code 800 ocurs only when there is no communication between EMM & Robot
are you facing this error for all client / Media server ?

Hi Andy Welburn,
We are using NetBackup version6.5.4
Operating systems Windows OS,
job details,The job is for all full backups & Vatalog backups
type of job that's failing : Majourly 800 & 219,216

We have 5 masters and 14 media servers, we are using Quantum iscalar(i2k)tape librar.
Do you mean Master to client communicatin?
For this also i have checked using telnet & clntcmd commands those are working fine.
Please give brief action wat can i do, give me steps to check for that in your won words.

Useful technote for all your reported status code, have you gone through it and make sure they're all checked?
800 is quite a generic code. We also need to know whether your error 800 is for disk or tape backup. Probably giving us a veiw of the job detail and storage unit configuration will be more helpful.

As u say you hav 14 media server....
can you tell me for which perticuller media server / storage unit you are facing this error ?
kindly run below command on master server and post o/p
<install path>/programe files/veritas/volmgr/bin>vmoprcmd -dp
