I've been told by our Support organisation that Symantec will not support the Advanced Client on x64 Windows 2003 Server. Is anyone else using the Avanced Client on this OS in their live environment?
If so, did you purchase the Advanced Client license specifically for the x64 Windows Server or are you running with an long-term Evaluation license?
Did you purchase Support from Symantec for this license?
Have you reported any faults or asked for help with the Advanced Client on this OS and been refused by Symantec or anyone else?
The Release Notes for x64 5.1 MP4 annouces support for the Advanced Client and MP5 & 6 (for 5.1) release fixes to the Advanced Client The Maintenance Packs for 6.0 also release fixes for the Avanced Client on x64 Windows. But I've been told that Symantec will not officially add x64 Windows Server 2003 to the list of supported OS for the Advanced Client until NetBackup 6.5 is released. Has anybody else heard this?
