All compatible drives paths are down, but media is avaliable. What can cause this? Do advise, thanks.

Determine why the drives are down.  Check tape drive hardware logs.  Look at Windows Event Viewer logs.

Add VERBOSE entry to vm.conf ( in ...Veritas\volmgr ) and restart NBU Device Manager service. Right-click on DOWN drives and select UP. Next time a drive goes down, the reason will be logged in Windows Event Viewer Application log. Device errors will be listed in Event Viewer System log.

I didn't do anything more than to just manually turn the drive paths back up & restarted the whole thing plus the windows server. And it's working now. Thanks.
