Another Problem with Lotus Notes Extension

Hi there

You guys seem to be my last hope with this issue. We are running NBU 5.1MP4 and are trying to backup a Lotus Notes (Domino) 6.5.4 Database on a Solaris 9 machine using the NBU Lotus Notes Database Extension. But regardless of what confis we try we always get the following errors:

17.07.2006 16:18:14 - connecting
17.07.2006 16:18:14 - using NONE
17.07.2006 16:18:14 - begin writing
17.07.2006 16:18:14 - Error bpbrm(pid=20068) from client svzddom01: ERR - Load of NetBackup for Lotus Notes extension failed: libvnbln.so: ld.so.1: bpbkar: fatal: libnotes.so: open failed: No such file or directory
17.07.2006 16:18:14 - Error bpbrm(pid=20068) client svzddom01 EXIT STATUS = 9: an extension package is needed, but was not installed
17.07.2006 16:18:15 - connected; connect time: 00:00:01
an extension package is needed, but was not installed(9)
17.07.2006 16:18:15 - end writing; write time: 00:00:01
17.07.2006 16:18:15 - Error bpsched(pid=2637) backup of client svzddom01 exited with status 9 (an extension package is needed, but was not installed)

Anyone - please - got an idea what could be wrong?!?

It seems that Lotus Notes Extenstion is not installed correctly.
Have you ever run update_dbclients to distribute a agent? It's needed on remote installation although target client is same with master server.

Good Luck!

have you installed the notes agent for solaris?
I have the same problem before and after I installed the notes agent
my configuration on the netbackup policy was wrong..
so i changed to these following config:

Open CLIENT PROPERTIES :
and place the values in Lotus Notes :

INI Path
/var/lotus/data1/notes.ini

Path:
var/lotus/data1:/opt/lotus/notes/50131/sunspa:/opt/lotus/notes/50131/sunspa/res/C

Executable Directory:
/opt/lotus/notes/50131/sunspa

you have to create a link:
ln -s /opt/lotus/notes/latest/sunspa/libndgts.so /usr/lib/libndgts.so

Is the policy really an Lotus-Notes policy (or Solaris policy)?

Are NSF-Files all in one directory or do you use an diffent file structure?
