Backup Enterprise Vault 8.0

Hi,

NBU 6.5.4 have support for backup of EV 7.5, int the relase note for 6.5.4 patch it reffer to a document, unfortunatly I am not able to find it, seems the link is broken.


- Enterprise Vault agent support for Enterprise Vault 7.5 on Windows 2003 x86
- Enterprise Vault agent support for Enterprise Vault 7.5 on Windows 2003 x64
Note: NetBackup 6.5.4 does not formally support Enterprise Vault 8.x.
However, the following TechNote on the Symantec Support Web site
contains additional information on how you can protect Enterprise
Vault 8.x data using NetBackup 6.5.4.

Sometimes they withdraw technotes for different reasons.

I could find 323943 and 323950.

323945 seems to have been withdrawn, maybe they found something failing with EV 8 backups?

On a similar note there is an article from the Backup Exec team about geting their agent to work with the latest version of EV. Wonder why the NBU didn't come up with one.will post another question on their forum. FYI.
