Backup of Oracle-db fails

I have an oracle server with two databases, X and Y.
I have created two scripts (with the template wizard), one for each database. When the policy for online backup of database X starts, everthing seems ok, and the job has the status of "successful". But when the policy for online backup of database Y starts, the job ends abruptly with the message:

Error bpbrm(pid=41652) listen for client protocol error - couldn't accept from data socket, The operation completed successfully. (0)

In the VERITAS\NetBackup\logs\user_ops\dbext\logs it says: Cannoct connect on socket

Why? Symantec suggests that this can be caused by a slow server, host resolution or stopped services. But its two databases on the same server, why does one work and the other not?

Stian,

Is the behavior the same if you reverse the order in which you back the DBs up ?

What if you combined both DBs into one policy?

Also, do you have bpstart_notify and bpend_notify scripts in place and is it possible that bpend hasn't had a chance to start up the DB before job Y runs and therefore bpstart and bpend are fighting with each other?
