Catalog backup twice as fast in 8.0! Woot!

Recently upgraded to 8.0 with the security EEB, full (compressed) catalog on solaris was taking 3 hours, runs in 90 minutes now!

 

NetBackup 9.1.0.1 on Solaris 11, writing to Data Domain 9800 7.7.4.0
duplicating via SLP to LTO5 & LTO8 in SL8500 via ACSLS

Did you also try restore in Test environment how does that work...?

 

Everything does it comes up clean ?
