I raised a case with Symantec, took the Vxms logs and found that, they receiving a null on some data index, it could be caused by corruption.
So, adviced to run chkdsk/defrag command in volume D drive.
After doing a chkdsk/defrag on the drive, the backups are happening and no failures till date.

Is this Windows 2008 or Windows 2008 r2?
You posted the bpfis log, which is not going to help. Since you are getting a status code 13, that means you are already passed the snapshot creation. You have to take a look at the bpbkar log file, however bpbkar is dumping.
Anyway start out with the bpbkar.
