Creating backup policy to a ReadyNAS

pmc214

Netbackup 7.5.0.6 Win server 2003 r2 / REadyNAS 4220S SMB Share, AD integrated.

I previously had this share on a non-AD iontegrated ReadyNAS and used my Master Server to map the share and run the client from masterserver.

We moved the share to the new ReadyNAS 4220S and I cannot use the same way. We have added the master server name to the readynas. i can see the readynas share from amsterserver, but get an error 71 when running the policy.

I assume you have the NBU Client service set to run as a specific account that can access this share

As it has been moved you should log into the Master using that account and make sure the share is still mapped for that account and can be seen

If not re-map it, making it persistent, and ensure the "backup network drives" option is checked in the policy attributes tab

Also worth re-starting the NetBackup Client Service on the Master (will re-start everything else so just do a bpdown / bpup) before trying the backup again so that the client service has logged in properly to see the new mapped drive

Hope this helps

Hello,

Check permissions on this. Are you able to access \\rnas2\ISOStore\ with the same user credentials that the netbackup client is running under?
