Looking like another dodgy feature with netb 7.0.1 but could well exist in earlier versions.
myfiler> date;dump 0f null /vol/data_sys_ds1;date

DUMP: creating "/vol/data_sys_ds1/../snapshot_for_backup.50" snapshot.

cottus> df -sh vmware_rhel_sys_ds1
Filesystem used saved %saved
/vol/data_sys_ds1/ 24GB 12GB 33%
So thats about 38G of data. I believe 'dump'
If netbackup NDMP backups these same data I get told it backed up
77832192K. Ahem.
Then I look to restore these same data...and that view tells me it backed up 38916117K contradicting the activity monitor. Great!
I'm happy with 38...39G, but the backup job from the jobmonitor is misreporting data volume by a factor of 2. Or is it?
Anyone else observed this, thoughts? B..u...g..., maybe? Surely not.
Jim the tester.

It's a 7.0.1 bug.
