In the moment we do a backup of our remote office with a local media server and a local tape libary. In the future we want to use a MSDP in the remote office and duplicate the data with an optimized duplication to an MSDP in the headquater. We have created this configuration and everything is working fine. The only problem is the really bad dedup faktor of Domino DBs. All other data like OS, filesystem and other application data have a dedup ratio between 90% and 95%. Only the domino DBs are lower than 30% sometimes there are under 10%! I have also tested to run 2 backup of the same DB directly after each other. Also lower than 40%! Client dedup does also not help to improve the rate. Do someone know how to increase this? Perhpas some setting in PD / MSDP or on the Domino Server?
