Hi,

Is there any method by which we can recover a deleted SLP and find when it was created earlier, how many times it ran, etc.

Thanks,

Gopihere.

You can't have any policies pointing to that SLP to when you delete it. Removing all that usually clears history.

You could restore to a DR site, as Nagalla sugested, but you would not get any history as that data is removed from the EMM.

Do you have opscenter?

may be a restore from the catalog backup that was made before deleting the SLP..

i dont think so there is a way to find how many times it ran and all..

just curious..

why you would like to recover the SLP and know the details of it..?

In earlier versions of NBU the SLPs used to be a flat file but now they are all within EMM so only an EMM recovery (on an isolated test system) could give you details of the SLPs

Once deleted they are deleted from EMM

Even then you could only track anything they did by running reports on the recovered system - and then only for the period of log retention on the system.

What is it that you are looking for and how far back do you want to go?

Thanks for the valuable comments.

Want to get the details of the SLP for getting some old job logs related to replication. Anyways, since the retention period is only one month, seems its not possible.

yes, we have an opscenter but free version, so not able to retireve data older than 2 months!

Thanks guys for the support.
