Netbackup 6.5 Overland Neo 4000 with 4 LTO 2 drives installed.  Backup jobs will only use two drives at any given time.  Someone please advise.

Thanks

I presume NB can see all 4 tape drives?

Is it same 2 drives each time or does it vary?

Check config for:

Storage Unit (Max Concurrent drives)

Storage Unit (Enable Multiplexing/Mmaximum streams per drive)

also might be worth checking:

Policy (Limit jobs per policy/Allow multiple data streams)

Schedule (Media Multiplexing)

Host Properties/Master server/Client Attributes/<client> (Maximum data Streams)

for anything that could be restricting number of tape drives directly or indirectly by limiting number of jobs.

thanks that resolved my issue.  Seems I had the maximum write drives set to 2 on robotic library properties in device section.  I have set to 4 and enabled multiplexing.
